Reds deliver presents to local hospitals

The Manchester United players brought some festive cheer to those less fortunate at Christmas on Monday afternoon during the annual visit to local hospitals.
The squad split into groups and headed to the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital, The Christie and Francis House Children’s Hospice for the visits which are organised every year by the Manchester United Foundation. The Children’s Hospital provides specialist healthcare services for children and young people throughout the North West, as well as nationally and internationally, while The Christie has been pioneering cancer research breakthroughs for over 100 years and is the largest cancer centre in Europe. Francis House, meanwhile, provides professional and respite care for youngsters and their families.
Members of the Under-16 and Under-18 teams, as well as club staff at the Aon Training Complex, wrapped hundreds of presents that were distributed by the first team, including hats, club annuals, teddy bears, scarves, kit bags and selection boxes.
Patients at both hospitals were delighted to meet their United heroes, who signed autographs and posed for photos and helped raise the spirits of the young patients at this time of year. You can watch our video of the visits above.
