Louis van Gaal set to finalise Manchester United's summer transfer plans over next TWO days
A number of players have already been informed of whether they have a future at Old Trafford or not and Van Gaal will conclude his plans by Monday
The Dutchman says he has already spoken to some of his squad about their futures. He is also planning for some weekend chats with certain figures.
Then on Monday the 63-year-old will attempt to tidy up the potential stayers and leavers with some last minute pow-wows before he begins his vacation.
Van Gaal will return for United’s pre-season early in July before jetting out to the States for the Red Devils' tour and he’s hoping the transfers he’s targeted will have been wrapped up and installed by Old Trafford’s executive vice chairman Ed Woodward before the big kick off on August 8.
The Spaniard cleaned up at United’s Player of the Year ceremony in midweek winning the player’s and fans vote and Van Gaal appears more upbeat this week than his grim bulletin seven days earlier when he talked of the pull of Spain for his number one.
Asked if former Barcelona keeper Victor Valdes could fill his gloves the United manager said: “First we have to see if De Gea is leaving. Then we shall talk about the other things.

De Gea was forced off against Arsenal last Sunday with a hamstring injury but he has had a day’s training and the Reds boss wants to play him at Hull City in the final match of the campaign.
A number of United player’s are in the spotlight as Van Gaal reshapes his squad and enters phase two of his rebuilding job.

“The transfer window ends on August 31 and that’s ridiculous in my opinion. I have strived many times to change the transfer period,” he said.
“It has to be finished before you prepare your team for the season. Last year we had the World Cup and then a lot of players came late into our club.
"We had a lot of purchases at the last month so we have to prepare our team while playing in the Premier League and that costs us a lot of points. This time I hope we shall finish that much earlier.”
